On a side note, Georgia is a blogger herself and throughout trying to start this one, her blog has been both my motivation and inspiration to make this one as good as possible! Be sure to check out her awesome blog, mappedout.
Back to food. This was a restaurant in Manchester, but there are branches in Headingley, Leeds and Nottingham. I was surprised (and seriously upset) to not see London! If anyone from Red's sees this, please tell me whyyyyyyy?! I would actually suggest a trip to Manchester just for this restaurant. Meat lovers only. It's one of those glorious places that puts ingredients together that makes most go ergh and makes me go, take my money please.
The restaurant itself is styled with many church related items, including confession box toilets, 'the good book' menus, which includes the 10 commandments, and 'praise for' sauces. This place is literally for the worshipper of meat. However the actual restaurant has a more trendy feel and has less church related decor, but it still looks awesome! Find more pictures on their website.
Now I've recently got into meat a lot more thanks to my lovely Alex, who has introduced me to the world of food. Before I met him, I literally liked nothing and was one of the fussiest eaters you will ever meet. Now, there's not much that I won't have a go at. My point is, this isn't a place for vegetarians, but don't worry if you don't eat everything, they have a varied menu from ribs, burgers, chicken, so as long as you eat that you'll be fine.
I like to be as adventurous as possible when I go out, so when I saw The Donut Burger on the menu, I looked no further!
This burger is actually really great! I've heard of these being done before but have never visited a restaurant that sold them, so was super happy to see this. It was a pretty big meal, so make sure you're hungry! We skipped lunch and had an early dinner and spent the rest of the night in meat comas. It was worth it.
The burger was made up of (from the top) crisped onions, a jalapeƱo wrapped in bacon, a doughnut, cheese, bacon, burger, cheese, bacon, burger and a doughnut. Best way to eat it was to literally split it in half and eat one burger and one doughnut at a time. I warned you this meal was big! Plus the chips on the side.
Not for the fainthearted, but an awesomely good restaurant that I am definitely recommending! I really hope they bring one to London too, because going to Manchester to go here every time will be a pain.
I neeeeeed to go here! The food looks absolutely amazing. I can't believe they put a doughnut in a burger- genius! They must get one of these in London soon. Thanks for the shout out! haha :) x
