My Love For Vintage

I can honestly say I never thought I would write a blog post about style. Although I wouldn't say I dress badly, I would never claim to know anything about fashion. That said, I suppose I do have my own styles that I like and one of those is everything and anything to do with vintage clothing. I'm a sucker for a vintage shop/fair, even if I don't buy anything. To be honest, I don't usually buy anything! But, while in Manchester last weekend I walked past the cutest of vintage shops. Usually it's just my luck that the item I want is in the window and this was no exception! We walked away from it to begin with but when we stopped just round the corner I dragged Alex back to check it out with me. It was a great shop full of treasures, I was so engrossed I didn't take any pictures! Booooo :( Well, it was called Retro Rehab and after finding their website here's a few pictures from there to show you what it was like.

They had loads of absolutely beautiful jewellery too, be sure to check it out as I almost missed it and now I think back, I wish I'd bought a few things! However, I did make one purchase from the shop, after the lovely shop assistant undressed the window display to get it for me..

Simple, but I'm super in love with it! It cost me £12, which I think is quite reasonable, since it is actually a vintage item. I want to try and go to a vintage kilo sale as you can pick stuff up for such great prices! Has anyone ever been? They had this skirt in the window with a long sleeved chiffron shirt that tied up in a bow at the neck and I have an almost identical one, so I know it's going to look lovely with that! I also have a laced no sleeve top that it will look super cute with! Any other ideas what I could pair it with? It already looks great on my bicycle print bed sheets, don't you think?

  1. Love the skirt! Shopping vintage seems so much more fun than shopping bog standard high street!
I definitely could do with some retro pieces in my wardrobe :)
