Review: Paw Paw Papaya Moisturising Balm

I see a lot of review for beauty products and although I'm not the sort of person that owns lots of them, I thought I would at least start to share which products I have and what I think of them.

I think a good one to start with is my Paw Paw Papaya Moisturising Balm.

I actually got this with a subscription box called PinkParcel (I won't go into this because I think I'll do a little blog post of that too!).

Packaging
It comes in a 25g tube that is perfect to pop into your handbag and carry with you at all times. 25g doesn't sound like a lot, but it is one of those products where more is definitely less! When I use it on my lips, I typically use about a grain of rice size to completely cover them, which is so tiny. It doesn't dry up either, so you don't need to constantly reapply which is great. I actually even like the colour of the tube, being red makes it easily found when its gone to the bottom of everything else that happens to be in my bag at the time.

Product
The actual product is really great! It's super versatile, it says on the tube you can use it on dry lips and irritated skin and can also be used by people prone to eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. I use it mostly for my lips day to day as well as using it as a primer before applying lipstick as it makes your lips really smooth and makes application of your lipstick really easy and fluid. I have also used it on my hands as they often go really dry, but it is not the sort of product which gets absorbed immediately, which is great for lips but can cause problems with your hands if you then need to use them. I would say if you want to use it for your hands/face then put it on before bed so you don't have to worry about it drying.

I know its difficult to see, but I wanted a picture that shows how glossy and smooth it is, making it perfect on its own or to use as lip prep :)

There are also only 7 ingredients in the product, which contains no parabens or sulphates. It contains both papaya and manuka honey, both of which are told to have numerous health benefits and be particularly healing and soothing. I have just covered my badly sunburnt in this stuff as it also lowers inflammation and helps to improve the healing of burns, according to the website.

Price
The balm is priced at £5.99 and can be bought on their website (which is currently having a 3 for 2 offer where you also get free delivery) or from boots. I definitely think the versatility of the product warrants the price tag, which considering how little you need to use also means it lasts a long time anyway.

This has definitely become my go to product whenever I have dry skin and has become an everyday use for my lips. I would definitely recommend the product and hope that you find it useful too! This is a 10/10 product!

Has anyone else ever used this product? What do you think? What do you find it useful for?
